Jividen Photography is giving away $1,600 in prizes in a BEAUTIFUL BABY PORTRAIT CONTEST!!!

Last year, our studio participated in a nationwide baby portrait contest; and it was great! But this year, we wanted to do something different, something that would help us (as local business owners) to showcase only babies in our area! So WE are sponsoring the entire contest and WILL NAME only area-wide babies as winners!

We are looking to find and name FOUR WINNERS...

Here's the FUN PART for our fans and followers, YOU get to be the judge!

Our Facebook Fans will be "voting on" their most favorite "beautiful baby." Once the voting has ended, votes will be counted and the winners will be named!

Here's an overview of how it works:

1. Babies from newborn to age 24 months (as of 06/30/11) are eligible to enter with the parent or guardian's consent and agreement to contest terms—with the exception of children of current staff at Jividen Photography.

2. Photographs of eligible babies must be taken by/at Jividen Photography Studio (30 E. Main Street, Chillicothe, Ohio) between June 1 and June 30, 2011. Photos from previous Jividen sessions or by other studios, photographers, or the parents do not qualify for this contest. The entries must be photographed during the contest period.

3. All photo sessions for the "Beautiful Baby" Photo Contest are only HALF PRICE during the contest period.

We are soooo excited to sponsor and host this contest! We hope you'll join in the fun by: (1) entering if you have a baby in this age range; and (2) VOTING!

Here's how:

1. To cast your vote, voters must "Like" Jividen Photography on Facebook.

2. Next, "Like" the photo of your choice by pressing the "Like" button for the selected baby picture.

3. Last, simply make a comment about the photo you have chosen to cast your vote. (You might say something like, "This is my fav!," or "I vote for this one!")

Final Days for Applications

Hi!

There's less than one week left to submit applications for our JP Crew program!

So if you're saying, "What's the JP Crew program," let me share just a few of the many benefits:



1. It's a program designed to promote Jividen Photography AND reward motivated and outgoing Juniors in the area for partnering with us!

2. Select Juniors "work" as models--both guys and girls--in "modeling sessions." No experience required. We are simply looking for photogenic, outgoing, fun-loving Juniors who like having their picture taken. That's it!

3. These Juniors receive a FREE modeling session using their own clothes (and props if they want) during their junior year--usually in the early spring. We use great locations and backdrops, along with new props and ideas from our studio staff, to create the hottest new and trendy looks in Senior pictures. While these kids are not yet Seniors, they will represent the Class of 2012 in our studio's marketing materials and advertising!

4. These Juniors will also get generous discounts when it's time to place their own Senior picture order, AND get "free stuff" as other students book sessions for their Senior pics. The JP Crew program is designed to enable its Crew members to get all their Senior pictures FREE if they are successful in recruiting other students. (Crew members can even ask their parents to help pass out $50 Gift Cards to other parents, who may be booking a Senior Session for their own kids. Both the friend and the Crew member get $50 worth of benefits!)

5. Crew members are also competing for a FREE iPad! The Crew member with the most referrals who book a Senior Session will WIN the iPad! And considering that the program only hires a select group of students, the odds are pretty good!

6. The JP Crew program is a "real job" in terms of being able to list it on a resume! As we said, the "work" is easy, but the rewards are fantastic!

The cut-off is February 28, so act quickly if you OR a Junior you know is interested. We are starting to conduct interviews now.

Hi friends!

I wanted to seek your help in finding high school juniors (Class of 2012) who would be interested in modeling for our studio, Jividen Photography. The incentives are GREAT!!! Now that the holidays are over, I'm going to try to start making regular updates again to my Blog. I've just been soooooooo busy around the studio that I haven't had much time to do anything besides photographing and processing! (That's a good thing, though...right!)

Senior Photography

Wow..."Senior Photography" sure has changed over the past years. No longer do you just "sit in front of a studio camera." It's a full-out fashion shoot of sorts, including a team of assistants! Reminds me of the models shoots that I see on America's Next Top Model! :)

Here's a new one that we captured in a location more than a hundred miles from the studio during a special "models workshop." (We have another location that's much closer where seniors can have a similar "look," too!)

Huntington HS Group Photo

We have a few extra copies of the Class of 2010 Senior Group Photos. There are two versions: "funny," and "serious." Both feature custom text on this keepsake of the Huntington seniors' last day together as a group. We photographed it just minutes after graduation practice. What a keepsake!

The photos are a nice size...10x15 inches, and look great in a frame!

Easter Open House

Join us for Chillicothe's Easter Open House on Friday and Saturday (April 2-3)!

Our staff is teaming up with Celebrations Etc. for two big days of pictures with the "Easter Bunny." Children can sit with the Easter Bunny for professional, studio-style photos!

The event will be held inside Celebrations Etc., located at 49 N. Paint Street, Chillicothe; and the pictures will be taken there in a specially decorated area!

We'll be giving away free treats to kids age 12 and under. (Goodies are donated by our studio and by the Academy Fitness Center!)

In addition to all the "photo fun," we'll have 4 live bunny rabbits for petting and holding in the pictures.

There's no sitting fees, and packages start at only $15.

The Downtown Association is featuring carriage rides in the historic downtown area, and is giving away more than $1,000 in prizes!

Digital Photography Boot Camp

Back one more time this summer...Digital Photography Boot Camp with Jerry & Barb Jividen!

This exciting digital photography workshop will be held in the Hocking Hills State Park, and features half day of classroom instruction, Power Point, and handouts; and features half day of hands-on field instruction!

Recommended for those with a serious interest in learning about Digital Photography and about their digital camera.

Digital SLR cameras are best for this class, but some "point-n-shoot" digital cameras are appropriate as well. Please call our office to ask if your camera has the recommended features and functions to optimize your learning. (Cameras that can function in a manual mode of operation work best for this workshop.)

Digital Photo Class - June 29

Hi to all you camera bugs!

We wanted to let you know that we are now offering a basic digital photography course for beginners! You asked for it, and we listened!

This one-day class is called "Intro to Digital Photography," and it is designed for anyone who is new to digital photography or who just wants to learn more about their digital camera. It will be held on Monday, June 29, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The indoor portion of the class will be held at 30 E. Main Street in Chillicothe, and will include handouts. The class will also include a hands-on field session to be held outdoors (depending on weather).

We are now taking reservations on a first-come, first-serve basis. Space is limited. Cost is $129 per person. Call 740-774-6243 for more info or for reservations. (MasterCard & VISA accepted.)

We have GREAT props, backgrounds, and color schemes for the coolest kids and toughest tots!

We have an entire section of our studio devoted to "little people." We call it the "Kids Korner."

Maternity Magic!

Hi!

We've been photographing a lot of Maternity Sessions over the past couple of months, so I decided to share a few pictures with you.

Maternity Sessions are a great way to preserve the memories of that special time in a woman's life--whether it's for a first-time mom or for one of her subsequent pregnancies.  With the big craze in scrapbooking your children's life from 3D Ultrasounds through their school years, Maternity Sessions are just a natural fit in telling the story through photos!

Our sessions at Jividen Photography are both fun and intimate!  They usually last an hour and are totally private.  We normally photograph 2-3 different outfits, belly wraps, or bare bellies, and "together photos" of the mommy-to-be and the daddy-to-be, and siblings (if there are any).

We even offer Belly Castings, which we call, "Impressions."

If you want to schedule a Maternity Session, try to do so between the 34th and 36th week, depending on your weight gain.
